Exploring a novel realm of engaging with technology, Tongueness reimagines interaction through the unconventional act of licking. Serving as a metaphor for the intimate exploration of a new partner, participants must navigate the unfamiliar and discover preferences. Sensors in the handheld device discern licking gestures while screen visualizations dynamically respond, challenging users to discover the unique 'right way' amidst a landscape of possibilities. Dive into Tongueness 's vibrant world, where every movement presents new layers of sensory delight.

Tongueness comprises a handheld device equipped with sensors and a screen featuring dynamic visualizations. The FSR sensors are concealed beneath a composition of candy, adding a tactile and gustatory dimension to the interactive experience.

The underlying sensors registered tongue movements, identifying specific directions such as left, right, up, and down. These movements activated visualizations on the screen. Coloured circles emerged from the side where the interaction occurred.

For the more competitive viewers, there was a pattern they could discover to win. The visualisation provided clues and the winning screen show a burst of circles.

Tongueness was exhibited at the Porn Film Festival 2024 exhibition in Vienna. While the artist was present the installation was active, otherwise it remained in passive state and showed a video in the background to explain the interaction.
